He doesn't hide the little catch of breath in the back of his throat, the obvious and intense interest as he makes a few subconscious connections, his mind furiously at work.

"Right now?" He asks, with a contradictory mix of eagerness and caution. "I haven't... should I get tested first?" Despite the prevarication, his hands are a steady and firm grip on Alecto, half tugging him even closer, thumbs stroking circles through the filmy clothes that were his usual attire. He so clearly wants what's on offer. All of what's supposedly on offer.

By now he's run into several of Alecto's nieces and nephews, though their exact relationships were so complicated he couldn't quite wrap his mind around it. What he'd managed to grasp was that this was a thing for the Crabtrees - that they had and raised their children communally, but without any accompanying outsiders beyond the genetic donation - and that quite a few of said donors had also disappeared under mysterious circumstances, but that was almost to be expected here in Devil's Kettle...

He remembers Alecto's comment about allowances being made, and wonders as he waits for an answer.
